J: would you be friends with your person if he or she was alive?

If Samuel Adams was alive today, I would most definitley want to be his friend. From all the research I've done, Samuel Adams seemed like a good person and a person who was smart,headstrong and knew what he wanted. Samuel Adams studied hard to get what he wanted. He worked hard at home with his mother and then he trained at Harvard University. He always was talking about politics because he was interested in it. I would want to be his friend because he seemed like a good person to know. He had very strong beliefs in equal rights. When he was given a slave as a present, he instantly set her free (she chose to work for him anyway as a free woman). He also loaned all of his money ,that his father gave him, to a friend in need. I think thatis a perfect example of what a good person he was.
Adams also seemed like someone who was very passionate about his beliefs. He once said, "What a glorious morning for America this is!," when the first shot of the war was shot. I think that this statement shows that he felt that this was going to be the begining of freedeom from the British.

Another thing that I really liked about Samuel Adams, was that he was good to his wives. He really respected them and noticed that they were working hard ,even though they were working at home. Most men those days never paid attention to how much work women did. He used to praise his wife for doing a good job. I think that was important, because it showed that he was a man that cared about everyone and about being fair to each everyone.
